Supporting you
All the support you need

Business support
Of course, all our services are supporting your business, as and when you need them. But your dedicated Business Development Manager (BDM) will be your first port of call for your business queries and advise.
Your BDM will know your pub, your clientele and the community you’re in and be ready to guide you with your business plan. They’ll visit you regularly at the pub and help you develop and run a profitable business. From insight tools and discussing revenue boosting ideas to assessing sales and profit margins, your BDM is your right-hand person.
As well as regular meetings, you can expect area meetings to meet other Robinsons publicans to discuss challenges and learn from one another too.

Marketing support
You’ve got a great pub, a fantastic personality and a team of superstars, but you need some guidance on how to make sure everyone knows about you.
Our Marketing and Communications teams are here to assist, train and help you deliver your marketing plans. From optimising your guests online experience, high-speed wi-fi and data capture, to email marketing and your pub’s free webpage, we’ll support you. Not forgetting good old-fashioned marketing, we’ll provide you with posters, brand campaigns and our in-house magazine.
If all this wasn’t enough, our beautiful Shire Horses are also available for pub visits to bring in and impress the crowds.

Commercial support
We’re sure you’re choosing to be a Pub Partner because you’ve got ideas and aspirations and that’s great! But, you might want a helping hand with price setting and GPs, curating a great wine menu or improving portion control.
Our Drinks and Brands, Wine and Food teams are all on hand to improve your offering too. On top of the day-to-day support, you can meet all your suppliers, grab great deals and enjoy some great samples at our annual Trade Show and our Wine Roadshow.
We also have a mobile bar available for hire – perfect for borrowing for large events.

End to end service
As well as looking after you, we take care of the whole ordering process too. From you placing your order with our Customer Services team, to picking and packing your order, to your delivery from our Dray team. Every part of the journey is looked after by our teams in Stockport. There’s no passing you from pillar to post, we know what’s going on with your orders and deliveries, and you will do too.

Cellar services
Probably the most praised support team within our business. Our Technical Services team ensure your beer is flowing and your pints are tasting great. From installing a new beer line, to troubleshooting beer dispense problems and helping you with cellar maintenance issues, our friendly team are on call seven days a week.
As well as keeping great pubs, brewing and serving great beer is important to us, and our Tech Services team champion that amongst our pubs. We’ll ensure you know how to maintain a perfect cellar and pour a perfect pint, and once you’ve got that – we’ll award you for championing that with our Best in Glass program.

Property support
We’re proud of our properties. We have great buildings in great locations, and we want to keep them looking well and being loved. Alongside yourselves, our property team are responsible for ensuring your pub is in good order. From regular building maintenance to refurbishment projects and issues requiring urgent attention.
Our property helpdesk are on hand every day to help with concerns and your pub has a designated Surveyor who knows the ins and outs of your building too.

Wellbeing support
Sometimes life can get difficult and when you’re running a business that can make things even harder. Our Wellbeing Engagement Manager, Cordelia, can visit you in your pub for a friendly chat and a cuppa. You’ll meet them throughout your onboarding with Robinsons and they’ll help you settle into your new business and/or home too.
We also work hard to support you with signposting to charities such as the LTC, who do incredible work in supporting our industry. Pubs are all about community and we ensure we have our own Robinsons online committee for our Partners and Operators too. Here you can ask for advice, guidance or just share best practice with others in the business.

Training and Development
Once you’re trained up and in the pub, you might still find yourself looking for a bit of training or extra development for you, or a team member. Our Recruitment and Training Manager can assist you with tailored training for you. As well as access to an online CPL training course with dozens of courses which you’ll have access to in Year 1, you’ll also hear about other opportunities to get involved in such as wine training, cellar training, personal license courses and much more.
You can also take advantage of localised upskilling and insights sessions that take place through your BDM. This is a great opportunity to meet others as well as spend a bit of time out of the pub, learning something new to implement.

Help running a sustainable business
We’re committed to lowering our overall carbon footprint and we’ll help you measure and yours too. Tailored advice is available to help reduce energy use, lower emissions and improve overall sustainability. We provide bespoke guidance based on each pub’s specific needs and operations.
There is also the opportunity to join our group energy purchasing scheme, helping to manage and reduce energy costs. Our aim is to make sustainability practical, achievable and relevant for every pub in our estate. Read our Greener Retailing Guide.

Beer Quality
Great beer isn’t just something we’re passionate out, it’s our legacy. The Great British pub was built upon a great pint, and we’re not going to let that change anytime soon. Our Best in Glass program rewards those pubs who champion our beer and really do serve, the perfect pint. Pubs which score more than 90% in their beer quality audit receive the prestigious ‘Excellence in Beer Quality’ award. Award winners receive certificates, dated bar-wear and public recognition.

Shire Horses
Our iconic Shire horses are available to visit pubs for special events, bringing a touch of tradition and heritage that few breweries can offer. These magnificent animals are not only a crowd favourite, especially with families, but also a link to Robinsons’ brewing history. Shire Horses were originally used to deliver beer to local inns and pubs. Today, they represent the preservation of heritage, our dedication to the Robinsons’ family values, and continue to create community spirit that the brewery has championed for over 185 years.
